About Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga

Master T.krishnamacharya taught ashtanga vinyasa to his students who went on travelling around the world popularizing this intense technique of ashtanga. Postures are done series wise in chronological order in association with ujjayi ( victorious breath) and bandhas ( energy locks) . vinyasa karma is the link between the postures and a conscious attempt is made to synchronize postures and the breath. Ashntanga vinyasa has gained huge popularity amongst yoga seekers who want to experience an intense physical workout. Ashtanga Vinyasa helps to release body toxins and is a great practice of Dharana ( concentration).
